Established in the early part of 1998, The Cora Foundation’s mission is to aid children in need. The Foundation supports and works in collaboration with non-profit organizations trying to improve the quality of life of Canadian children.
The Foundation is financed through the profits generated by fundraising events as well as through special events created by employees and the owners of the more than 120 franchised restaurants across Canada.
Calendar of activities
The Foundation organizes several fundraising activities throughout the year.
- On Tuesday February 21st, Cora restaurants will be proud to celebrate their first National Pancake Day! On this day, every customer that visits our restaurants across Canada to enjoy either our pancakes, or our sweet or savoury crepes can feel good about themselves. Not only will they enjoy an amazing breakfast but also feel good knowing that they are helping children across Canada.
The Cora Foundation will donate $1 from the sale of every plate sold to the Breakfasts Clubs of Canada and the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec thus further enabling them to provide nutritious breakfasts to children across Canada.
Founder Mme Cora Tsouflidou has always been passionate about breakfast : “We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful concept as a National Pancake Day. Crêpes and pancakes are synonymous with breakfast, but also with joy and happiness. We are thrilled to be able to unite franchisees and employees throughout our network around an event that will benefit kids all across the country.”
- The Cora Foundation annual fundraising campaign will take place from November 14 to December 31 2011. Again this year your support will directly benefit the Breakfast Clubs of Canada. Over the next year over 16 million breakfasts will be served to 107,000 schoolchildren from all provinces across the country. Give generously. Help us feed their desire to succeed.
- On September 28, the 3rd annual edition of The Cora Foundation charity dinner took place. The proceeds were donated to the Breakfast Clubs of Canada/Le Club des petits déjeuners du Québec.
