$65,000 collected for Special Olympics!
Once again, Cora Breakfast and Lunch restaurants have teamed up with the Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes in our communities.
During our annual Cora Cops and Crêpes event, officers from various law enforcement agencies joined together to serve up coffee and smiles in 14 Cora Breakfast and Lunch restaurants throughout Alberta and 3 restaurants in Saskatchewan, raising over $47,000 for Special Olympics Alberta and over $18,000 for Special Olympics Saskatchewan.
Our restaurants were taken over by officers and athletes who happily served hungry customers to raise funds and awareness. They helped bus tables, refill coffee, collect cash donations and share inspiring stories about Special Olympics.
It was a great success and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in this event and a special mention to our guests for their generous support.
Cora Breakfast and Lunch has been a proud partner of the Cops and Crêpes fundraising event since 2009, when the first edition was held at a restaurant in Alberta.
The mission of the LETR is to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement, which aims to enrich the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sport.
