$8,000 donated to Breakfast Club of Canada
Thanks to everyone who visited us and savoured delicious pancakes and crêpes on February 28 for National Pancake Day. With your participation, the Cora Foundation was pleased to give more than $8,000 to Breakfast Club of Canada.
On this special day, all guests who enjoyed either our pancakes or sweet or savoury crêpes contributed to helping children across Canada thanks to a $1 donation by the Cora Foundation for every pancake or crêpe plate sold. Together, we have supported Breakfast Club of Canada in providing nutritious breakfasts to children across Canada.
The Cora Foundation was established in the early part of 1998. Its mission is to aid children in need. The Foundation supports and works in collaboration with non-profit organizations trying to improve the quality of life for Canadian children. The Foundation is financed through profits generated by fundraising events as well as through special events created by employees and the owners of the more than 130 franchised restaurants across Canada. For the past years, the Foundation has been working very closely with Breakfast Club of Canada to help provide support and food to children across the country.
About Breakfast Club of Canada
For over 20 years, Breakfast Club of Canada has been nourishing children’s potential by making sure as many of them as possible have access to a healthy morning meal before school in an environment that allows their self-esteem to grow and flourish. But the Club is much more than a breakfast program: It takes a broader approach that promotes the core values of engagement, enrichment and empowerment, and it teams up with communities and local partners to develop solutions adapted to their specific needs. Operating from coast to coast, Breakfast Club of Canada helps feed more than 163,000 students every day in 1,455 schools.
