Corporate Executive Chef

This strategic role, based at head office, sits at the heart of innovation, culinary excellence, and operational support. You will act as an ambassador of flavor, consistency, and performance.

Your Mission

To develop, guide, and evolve Cora’s culinary offering while striking the right balance between creativity, operational efficiency, and profitability, all while staying true to the brand’s DNA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop new menu items for core menus and seasonal offerings, considering operational realities in kitchens and service.
  • Plan, execute, and document culinary tests, including clear and structured reporting.
  • Lead tasting sessions, ensure follow-ups, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Write, standardize, and maintain recipes in accordance with established standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Optimize ingredients and menu components to ensure strict cost control.
  • Calculate food costs and recommend selling prices.
  • Actively participate in strategic meetings and discussions related to menu evolution.
  • Monitor culinary trends and share innovation opportunities.
  • Participate in photo shoots as a food stylist.
  • Conduct food quality control testing.
  • Travel as required (restaurant visits, food shows, industry events).

Ideal candidate profile

Education & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Corporate Chef (an asset).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef (or equivalent).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in service (an asset).
  • Experience as an owner or franchisee.
  • Experience in food styling.
  • MAPAQ and WHMIS certifications.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning tools.
  • Knowledge of Pro Menu software (an asset).
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), used regularly for documentation and franchisee communications.
  • Strong business-oriented mindset.
